Different ways to find a car in Japan.

These are external examples, not ImportFlow partners or endorsements. Each source works differently, so compare the vehicle, auction evidence, exporter fees, shipping terms and refund rules before paying anyone.

Exporter directory

JapaneseCarTrade

Before paying: verify the seller independently, read the refund and auction terms, confirm the invoice beneficiary, obtain the original auction sheet and arrange an inspection where needed. ImportFlow does not verify or transact with these sites.

Mock Toyota Aqua versus DoneDeal asking prices.

DoneDeal showed 430 results for “Toyota Aqua” when checked. Listings change constantly, so use the live search rather than relying on this snapshot later.

VehicleYearMileagePrice shownWhat the number means
ImportFlow mock Aqua S202064,200 km€9,699Illustrative landed-cost estimate, not a listing or quote
DoneDeal Aqua 1.5 Hybrid Automatic2020127,000 km€12,250Dublin dealer asking price; six-month warranty shown
DoneDeal Aqua201971,000 km€11,450Dublin dealer asking price; three-month warranty shown
DoneDeal Aqua Hybrid S202042,717 kmPrice on requestDonegal dealer listing; useful mileage comparison but no public price
Visible arithmetic€12,250 − €9,699 = €2,551

This is not verified profit. The two cars have different mileage and unknown differences in grade, condition, equipment and preparation. The Irish asking price also includes dealer overhead and warranty, while the mock landed estimate can change when freight, origin, emissions evidence, Revenue’s valuation and final registration costs are known.

How to compare a real candidate

  1. Match the exact year, model code, grade and mileage.
  2. Add Japanese auction, agent, inland transport and export costs.
  3. Add freight, insurance, customs, VAT and registration tax scenarios.
  4. Allow for preparation, warranty, dealer overhead and time-to-sell.
  5. Compare with several current Irish asking prices, not one advertisement.
  6. Record actual sale prices when available; asking price is not transaction price.
